Transparent about how we use cookies
Cookie Policy
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. This page explains which cookies we use on the Cahaya website, what they do, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent at any time using the controls below.

Section 1
What Are Cookies?
When you visit a website, it may ask your browser to store a small file — a cookie — on your device. The website can then read that file on subsequent visits. Cookies help a site remember your preferences, understand how pages are used, and work correctly across sessions.
Cookies themselves cannot run programmes or carry viruses. They are plain text files. You can delete or disable them at any time through your browser settings, though some parts of a website may then work less well.
Section 2
Cookies We Use
We use four categories of cookies. Essential cookies are always active. The remaining three categories are optional and may be accepted or declined below.
Essential Cookies — always active
These are necessary for the website to function. They handle your cookie consent preference itself, maintain basic session security, and ensure pages load correctly. They cannot be disabled.
Duration: session or up to 12 months.
Analytics Cookies
These help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, how long is spent there, and where visitors arrive from. This information is anonymised and used only to improve our content and structure.
Provider: Google Analytics. Duration: up to 13 months.
Marketing Cookies
These track visits across websites and may be used to show content relevant to your interests. We use these in a limited way and do not engage in aggressive advertising. If you prefer not to have this type of tracking, you may decline below.
Duration: up to 12 months.
Preference Cookies
These remember small choices you make — such as display preferences — so that you do not need to re-set them on each visit. No sensitive information is stored in preference cookies.
Duration: up to 12 months.
Section 3
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services that appear on our pages. These include:
- Google Analytics — to measure anonymised site usage.
- Google Maps — an embedded map on our homepage uses a cookie to function correctly.
We do not share any personal data with these services beyond what their respective privacy policies describe. We do not use social media advertising cookies or tracking pixels from social platforms.
Section 4
Your Cookie Preferences
Use the toggles below to manage which optional cookies you accept. Your preferences are stored in your browser and take effect immediately. You can return to this page at any time to change them.
